HWL Records Improved Growth
Hutchison Whampoa Limited
recorded
improved and healthy growth in the first half of 2006. The
Group’s total revenue grew 14 per cent to HKD124,448
million, including HKD23,509 million from the

Group.
Recurring earnings before interest expense and finance costs,
taxation and minority interests (EBIT) from the Group’s estab-
lished businesses increased 12 per cent to HKD18,889 million.
Earnings per share amounted to HKD4.41, an increase
of 100 per cent on the same figure last year. An interim
dividend of HKD0.51 was declared.
The results reflect the continued strength of the
established businesses, the improving results from the

Group operations and the conservative financial profile of
the Group.
HIGHLIGHTS
