(Hong Kong, 10 December 2004) i.Tech Dynamic Limited ("i.Tech") today announced the launch of its new Bluetooth Virtual Keyboard (BTVKB) - the world's first wireless Virtual Keyboard that lifts wireless mobile communications to a new height.

BTVKB is a smart, pocket-size device that projects a full-size keyboard through infrared technology onto any flat surface. Users could then type on the infrared images as if typing on conventional keyboards.

Without the need of any wire connection, BTVKB provides unprecedented convenience and mobility to users. BTVKB is compatible with a wide range of personal digital assistants (PDAs), mobile phones, laptop computers as well as personal computers.

Speaking today at a press conference announcing the launch of the BTVKB, Deputy Chairman of Hutchison Harbour Ring Limited and Managing Director of i.Tech Mr Lewis Luk said BTVKB is an enhanced version of the Virtual Keyboard (VKB) that i.Tech launched in the United Kingdom earlier this year.

Response to the VKB in the UK has been overwhelming and the product is so successful that it has recently been granted the 'PDA Genius' Award by UK authoritative journal PDA Essentials, Mr Luk said.

"We have targetted to launch BTVKB in Hong Kong at this festive season to meet the strong demands from technology savvy customers. With the new Bluetooth wireless version, users can now type email or lengthy text messages easily wherever they are, just like using conventional keyboards," Mr Luk said, adding that the slim design of BTVKB allows it to be slipped into a pocket or handbag comfortably.

"BTVKB will further establish i.Tech as a pioneer in the industry and represents a big leap in the development of wireless communications. i.Tech is now widely recoginised as an innovative Bluetooth specialist in mobile accessories," Mr Luk said.

Also speaking at the press conference, Deputy General Manager of i.Tech Mr Eddie Kwok said BTVKB is undoubtedly an essential gadget for the technology savvy and trendy individuals.

"Looking forward, we will continue to widen our spectrum of product offerings so as to secure the leading position of our brand and gain a significant market share," Mr Kwok said.

BTVKB is now available in different markets, including Hong Kong and Southeast Asian countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and so on. With a suggested retail price of US$199, the BTVKB is expected to generate enthusiastic response.

Apart from the BTVKB, i.Tech also showcases a series of other technological products at the press conference, including the Bluetooth Stereo Clip Headset, the Bluetooth Media Player Headset and the Bluetooth PowBOX. All of these products have their unique features and functionalities for different market segments.
