Hutchison Telecom announced today the signing of an interconnection agreement with CTM. From now onwards, Macau citizens can enjoy a full service from Hutchison Telecom with connectivity to users of the local fixed-network and other mobile networks, together with IDD and intercity "Heart-to-Heart" call discounts.

From now on, we are offering our full service to customers in Macau. Many customers have pre-registered during the past few days and we would like to express our sincere appreciation for their support. We shall also offer a roaming service to any Orange users travelling frequently between Macau and Hong Kong, and provide the best coverage and most competitive charges."
Full service made available on local and IDD calls
From now onwards, Hutchison users can make calls to and receive calls from users on Macau's local fixed network or other mobile networks and make IDD calls to friends and relatives overseas, anytime and anywhere. Hutchison Telecom's highly competitive discount to IDD users offers a best-value off-peak rate of $0.9* for calls to Hong Kong and the US.
"Heart-to-Heart" call discounts save costs
Hutchison Telecom has also brought Hong Kong's most popular "Heart-to-Heart" call discounts to Macau citizens in the form of special discounts when making calls to and receiving calls from other Hutchison customers. Customers can enjoy a "thereafter charge" for "Heart-to-Heart" calls ranging between $0.3 and $0.5 per minute after all free talk-time has elapsed.
Visitors travelling frequently between Macau and Hong Kong can enjoy even better value-for-money roaming discounts of 50%. These are available to any subscribers making IDD calls to Orange subscribers. Hutchison users in Macau will also enjoy 5% discount on roaming charges when they roam on the Orange network in Hong Kong.
* Off-peak hours from 9:00 pm to 8:00 am, Monday to Friday; and all day Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. Special offers valid from August 20 to October 31.
