The latest GPRS enabled tri-band handset offers 'always on' mode
giving mobile users the speediest Internet access via Orange Mobile Data Service

Orange has become the first mobile operator in Hong Kong to launch the Motorola V. series 60, the latest GPRS enabled tri-band handset. With the new handset and Orange Mobile Data Service, users can enjoy GPRS high-speed packet data service and access the richest content from Orangeworld wirefree internet service at speeds of up to 53.6kbps. Users can also experience all the excitement of the quickest Internet access with 'always on' mode.

Connect to the mobile Internet world at the fastest data transmission rate

The new Motorola V. series 60 tri-band handset supports GPRS high-speed packet data transmission technology, offering the fastest data transmission in the territory at speeds of up to 53.6kbps. By simply subscribing to the Orange Mobile Data Service, users can enjoy "always on" wireless Internet connection to Orangeworld's exciting Internet world of information and entertainment anywhere, anytime.

GPRS is the most advanced 2.5G GSM technology providing high-speed packet data transmission with 'always on' mode. Charges are based on the actual volume of data transmitted instead of airtime connection, making it more economical and fair to the users.

View handset status at ease with dual LCD display

With its contemporary clamshell design and aluminum casing, the Motorola V. series 60 handset supports tri-band mode (GSM 900/ 1800 / 1900) and is equipped with dual LCD display for easy viewing of handset status. The sophisticated design of the external LCD display allows users to identify caller numbers, and read short messages, time, date and much more without the need to open the phone flap.

Personalized menu for a personalized phone

With its innovative interface, the Motorola V. series 60 lets users personalize their mobile phones by re-arranging their own menu. The Personal Information Manager (PIM) function, for instance, can be used to manage appointments, contacts, and messages anytime, anywhere. Its advanced date book with alarm alert serves as the best reminder of the important dates. And with the Motorola GPRS Manager software, users can surf the Web, check email, and send and receive essential messages by connecting their handsets to a PC.

Compact and portable

The sleek Motorola V. series 60 measures just 87 x 45 x 24mm - small enough to fit in the palm of one's hand or in a pocket, making it easy to carry around. With the 105g standard lithium ion battery, the Motorola V. series can be used continuously for 110 minutes or kept on standby for up to 100 hours. The handset also features iTAP text entry software that anticipates the words a user types in, a 30-second Voice Note function, 32 self-compose ringing tones, three built-in games and more.

The new Motorola V. series 60 handset is now available at HK$3,580#. Customers can pay via a 12-month interest-free instalment plan using Dao Heng, Compass or Standard Chartered Bank credit card.
