| Beijing- The opening ceremony
of the "Oriental Plaza -Selected Contemporary Sculpture From
China" by Mr Long Xin Min, Beijing's Minister of Publicity,
Mr Chen Ping from the Dong Cheng District, Mr H.L.Kam, chairman
of Beijing Oriental Plaza Co. Ltd, Mrs Alice King of Alisan
Fine Arts/organiser of the exhibition and famous sculptor Mr
Sui Jianguo at Oriental Plaza. |

| The works of twenty-two Chinese
sculptors from Beijing, Hangzhou, Hunan, Shanghai and Shenzhen
are being sponsored and exhibited at Oriental Plaza in Beijing,
a complex already acclaimed as an architectural gem. Spanning
100,000 square meters in the heart of Beijing, Oriental Plaza
is the largest single multi-purpose complex structure in Asia.
Oriental Plaza hopes that by promoting the concept of "living
with art", Beijing will be placed among other modern cities
as a great metropolis which is keen to keep abreast of contemporary
trends in art while preserving its rich cultural heritage. |

Sui Jianguo, Dong Shubin, Duan Haikang, Zhan Wang, Yu Fan, Jiang
Li, Jiang Jie, Li Xiang Qun, Qin Pu, Wang Zhong, Shao Fan from
Beijing, Long Xiang, Xue Zhong, Shi Hui Li Xiuqin and Yang Qirui
from Hangzhou, Xiang Jing, Mi Qiu and Tang Shi-chu from Shanghai,
Shi Jinsong from Hubei and Wang Dalin from Shenzhen. |
