Cheung Kong (Holdings) Ltd announced that a formal application has been made on May 10, 2002 to the Stock Exchange for the separate listing of the company's biotech operations, CK Life Sciences Int'l., (Holdings) Inc. (CKLS), on the Growth Enterprise Market of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

CKLS is primarily engaged in the business of research and development, commercialisation, marketing, and sale of biotechnology products. The company's business areas cover two dimensions - human health and environmental sustainability. Products developed by CKLS are categorised into five areas, namely eco-agriculture, bioremediation, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals and dermatologicals.
