HIT breaks productivity record

[Hong Kong - 21 July 2003] - Hongkong International Terminals (HIT) is proud to announce that on 17th July the company set a new record for vessel productivity. Serving the Evergreen Marine vessel, Ever Repute, the terminal achieved a remarkable rate of 272 moves per hour. This eclipses HIT's previous record of 236 moves per hour set in April 2000.

HIT Managing Director, Eric Ip, commented on this accomplishment, "With a strong commitment to our customers, HIT is very pleased to have reached this new level of service excellence. This record could not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of HIT employees."

Providing HIT with even greater potential, the company will officially launch Container Terminal Nine on Tuesday, 22nd July 2003.
