CK Hutchison Group Chairman Victor Li Deeply Saddened
by Mr Vincent Cheng Hoi-chuen’s passing
Expresses Gratitude for Mr Cheng’s Contributions
to the Group

(Hong Kong, 29 August 2022) The Hong Kong business community has lost a great talent with the passing of Mr Vincent Cheng Hoi-chuen yesterday. CK Hutchison Group Chairman Victor Li Tzar-kuoi sent a note to Mr Cheng’s family expressing his deepest condolences. In the letter, Mr Li praised the talented Mr Cheng, whose outstanding performance as the first Chinese Chairman of HSBC in Hong Kong, is a source of pride for Chinese everywhere. Mr Cheng first joined the Group in 2014 as an Independent non-executive director of Hutchison Whampoa Limited. He continued to be one of CK Hutchison Holding Limited’s INEDs following the reorganization of Cheung Kong Group. He has made tremendous contributions to the Group with his service and professionalism.

Mr Victor Li and the CK Hutchison Board of Directors are deeply saddened by Mr Cheng’s passing and express their sincere respect and gratitude to Mr Cheng for his invaluable contributions over the years.
