Orange launches the world's first WAP platform character and ringing tone download services

Exclusive Hello Kitty, KeroKeroKeroppi and PomPomPurin screensaver, wallpaper and 3-chord ringing tone download services for Orangeworld users

Orange announces the exclusive partnership with Sanrio (HK) Co. Ltd., allowing Orangeworld users enjoy Hello Kitty, KeroKeroKeroppi (Keroppi) and PomPomPurin (Purin) screensaver, wallpaper and e-card download services via Openwave's WAP platform (formerly Phone.com). Together with the unique 3-chord ringing tone download service for Sanyo C304SA handset, Orange is bringing even more mobile communications excitement to Orangeworld users.

World's first WAP platform character download service

With the technical support from Openwave, Orange becomes the world's first mobile service operator to offer character and ringing tone download services via WAP platform. Openwave's WAP platform allows Orangeworld users enjoy a wide range of download services. For the first time ever in Hong Kong, Orangeworld users can select over 50 choices of Hello Kitty, Keroppi and Purin screensavers or wallpapers and download into the new Sanyo C304SA handset.* The six-sequence screensaver is the first-of-its-kind in Hong Kong and all the download choices are matched with interesting themes.

Orange has also tailor-made a series of Sanrio download choices for Christmas, allowing Orangeworld users to share the happiness and joy of the coming festive season.

Hot choices for Hello Kitty, Keroppi and Purin e-card

Together with the popular screensaver and wallpaper download services, Orange also offers 44 specially designed Hello Kitty, Keroppi and Purin e-cards for users to send sincere greetings to their loved via Orangeworld wirefree internet service.

Orangeworld users enjoy personalised mobile communications

Orange is also unveiling the exclusive 3-chord ringing tone download services via the WAP platform of Openwave. With the new Sanyo C304SA handset, Orange users can enjoy 3-chord ringing tone service from a wide selection of music ranging from Pop songs from Leon Lai, Cass Pang, Lee Hom and Coco Lee from Sonymusic, versions of Japanese popular drama theme songs, festive music as well as traditional folk songs.

Convenient wireless internet service with Sanyo C304SA

The new IS95B packet data enabled handset - the Sanyo C304SA - allows users to experience all the excitement of wireless internet services. The stylish Sanyo C304SA features a large screen that can display 6 lines of text and 48 Chinese characters each page. Besides the unique built-in 3-chord stereo music ringing tones, the new handset also comes with tailor-made animation screen display of five Chinese festivals with automatic power-on festive music on the correspondent days, making mobile communications a lot more fun and fascinating.

The new Sanyo C304SA can be purchased at HK$1,380. During promotion, each purchase comes with a special Hello Kitty gift pack, including handset strap, sticker and Sanrio Vivitix Shop's gift redemption coupon (while stock lasts).
