Hong Kong, January 17, 2001 - Hutchison Telecom has launched the Orange PDA Automatic Download Scheduler Service (Orange PADS), the first of its kind PDA automatic download service for web information. Customers can now download the installation software from www.orangehk.com to their Casio Cassiopeia EM-500 PDA. Once connected, all preset and personalized Web information will be delivered according to users' preset time, making mobile data communications more convenient than ever.

To enjoy the exclusive Orange PADS Service, Orange mobile data and Orangeworld subscribers can simply download the installation software from www.orangehk.com to their Casio Cassiopeia EM-500 PDA through the Siemens' 6688 or 35 series mobile phone. Downloaded Web information can be categorized into "preset information" and "personalized information". With Orange's "preset information packages", customers can access the most comprehensive information provided by Tom.com, BOOM.COM and hk6.com including local and international news, financial news, Hong Kong stock prices and index, U.S. stock prices and index, foreign exchange rates and other major market indexes. Customers can choose from Orange's preset information, add their favourite web sites to the Scheduler, as well as set and modify the download time. To perform the downloading of information, users simply needs to switch on the handset and connect it to Casio Cassiopeia EM-500 PDA during the scheduled time. With Orange PADS Service, customers can now download information anytime at their preset time as preferred, obtaining easy and convenient updates of all Web information.

Orange users enjoy new tariff plans for mobile data services

Orange also introduces special Mobile Data tariff plans for accessing Orange PADS Service. Per minute charge is only HK$0.05 from 2:00am to 5:00am. What's more, you can enjoy a special bundle package of the Siemens mobile phone and the Casio Cassiopeia EM-500 PDA for as low as HK$4,780, and receive monthly fee rebate up to HK$1,180 (please refer to the table).
