During the TTG Asia Media's 13th "Travel Awards 2001" presentation at the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Mart held in Singapore on April 6, 2001, Harbour Plaza Hong Kong received the "Best Business Hotel" award in the Asia Pacific region.

Voted by travel suppliers namely travel agents, tour operators and destination management companies, the criteria for being the "Best Business Hotel" was based on service and facilities, and the best range of value-added benefits provided for the business travellers, and for the "most professional sales and marketing team in terms of innovative ideas and servicing".

After receiving the award, Mr. Hans Heyligers, General Manager of Harbour Plaza Hong Kong celebrated the award with the Harbour Plaza team at its 4,500 sq. feet Grand Ballroom with a cocktail party. "This is truly an award for the staff. It is a recognition for their relentless dedicated effort in bringing quality service and products to our guests".

Aside from receiving the prestigious "Best Business Hotel" award, Harbour Plaza Hong Kong was elected as one of the "World's Ten Best Hotels" by Leader's magazine, New York in 1998.

Opened on July 22, 1995, Harbour Plaza Hong Kong is a deluxe hotel located along the Kowloon waterfront 417 rooms and 101 serviced suites with breathtaking views over the Victoria Harbour towards Hong Kong Island.

Hotel business facilities include in-room broadband Internet access for laptops and Internet access via an interactive television and infra-red keyboard, a state-of-the-art Business centre, a Grand Ballroom and three function rooms suitable for large and small meetings and conferences.
