Hutchison 3G selects CMG for Multimedia and Unified Communications platform

Global agreement for Hutchison's 3G networks worldwide

London - February 7, 2002 - Hutchison 3G UK Ltd ('Hutchison 3G'), holder of the UK's largest third-generation licence, today announced that it has awarded CMG the contract to provide its Multimedia and Unified Communications platform. This global agreement enables all Hutchison group companies and affiliates to deploy CMG's 3G IP based messaging platform.

CMG Wireless Data Solutions will deliver a full suite of mobile data and voice messaging software services, enabling Hutchison 3G's customers to enjoy rich multimedia messaging communication.

The contract includes CMG's products based on IP and other open standards, such as Unified Communications solutions, the Multimedia Messaging Service Centre, Wireless Service BrokerTM and the Short Messaging Service Centre.

2. About Hutchison 3G

Hutchison 3G UK Ltd. ("Hutchison 3G") holds licence 'A' (a third-generation licence), which was issued by the UK government in May 2000. This licence was for the largest block of spectrum auctioned in the UK, as it was set-aside for a new entrant to the market. The licence consists of 15MHz of paired spectrum, and 5MHz of unpaired spectrum.
